Like many aspiring entrepreneurs, Jason, Ryan, and Josh all had dreams of launching a game changing business that would one day allow them to quit their day jobs and be their own bosses. Jason freelanced as a marketing consultant while Chefs Ryan and Josh have nearly 40 years of combined experience in the kitchen. All of them were hungry to do something different so naturally, they did what all aspiring entrepreneurs do…they became parents.
The idea for YVR Prep came shortly after Jason’s first business – a coworking space in Surrey – was opened when his “work-from-home-with-screaming-kids” routine was taking a serious toll on his sanity. Within a few short months, demand for his shared office space grew to attract entrepreneurs of all shapes and sizes. And then it dawned on Jason to consider creating a similar work environment for food businesses. Meanwhile, Ryan and Josh were developing plans for a food venture which would ultimately require said commissary — and the rest…as they say, is history.
