How much does membership at YVR Prep cost?
We offer 3 different plans that include kitchen hours and storage. Check out our membership plans here.

Wow, it looks like you have a lot of equipment in your kitchen... Is there an additional charge to use any of it or is access to all equipment in the kitchen included?
All YVR Prep members have access to all of the equipment available. Depending on the type of equipment, you may need an initial orientation on how to operate and clean it. Check out all of the equipment we have available for our members here.

Do you offer hourly membership plans?
At this time we do not offer hourly memberships, but we do offer temporary hourly rentals for events and festivals.

Do you have space available for a food truck or ghost restaurant?
No. We're not set up for food truck or ghost restaurant service and focus on manufacturing and catering companies.

Can I produce cannabis-infused products at YVR Prep?
Unfortunately no. Fraser Health Authority does not permit cannabis-infused production in shared kitchens due to the high risk of cross-contamination.

I hear it can be tricky to get Fraser Health approval... Does YVR Prep offer any help?
Yes! We will take care of your application process and food safety plan. All you need to provide is your company's documentation and production information. We will help you every step of the way so you can get started as quickly as possible!

Once I sign up, how long does it take to get started?
The application process can take 4-6 weeks, depending on the Environmental Health Officer's workload/availability and the complexity of your production.

Is YVR Prep HACCP-certified?
No, we are not HACCP-certified. Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) certification evaluates the production process of a specific food product, not the kitchen.

Can I rent the kitchen for a cooking class or similar event?
No, we are unable to accommodate events in our kitchen as our members rely on 24-7 available space for their production.

Do I need to be a professional chef to work at YVR Prep?
Not at all! Our kitchen is set up for cooks of all levels. We also provide training and support to help you transition from your home kitchen to our big industrial kitchen.
